Step through the etched glass doors of the Nob Hill Inn and be transported back to the golden age of San Francisco. Built in 1907 as a private home, the Inn has been lovingly restored to maintain the ambience of a turn-of-the-century townhouse. Situated in the upscale Nob Hill district, Nob Hill Inn is convenient to all of San Francisco's attractions. Nightlife is virtually limitless. Some outstanding spots are the Club Fugazi, the Sir Francis Drake Starlight Room and the San Francisco Hilton. Before ending the evening, take in the glittering city from top of the town at places like the Top of the Mark in the Hotel Mark Hopkins, the Crown at the Fairmont or Henri's Room at the Hilton. from sf int l airport - take hwy 101 north. go about 8 miles passing candlestick 3com park. take the hwy 280 downtown exit. it will be the right lane of the freeway. exit on 6th street and go straight. after crossing market 6th street becomes taylor. continue on taylor to pine street. the nob hill inn is on the north-west corner of pine taylor.

we strongly recommend that you do not bring a car into san francisco. parking is scarce and very expensive. for the cost of a rental car parking gas over $3 per gallon insurance and aggravation you can take a lot of buses and taxis. the inn is located in a very densely populated downtown area. it is very easy to get around on foot by taxi or by public transportation. if you need a car for a trip out of the city we can arrange a rental for you. keep in mind that we have no parking facility of our own. there arehowever a number of public garages in the neighborhood we can direct you to but the least you should expect to pay is $2 per day plus the daily city tax of $3.50 per day also. you will have to climb a hill and walk 2 1/2 blocks to get to the resort the resort is not handicapped accessible.
