Being an ardent devotee of art nothing could deter my spirit of surfing every nook and corner of the city to savor the old which is gold. I tried to cover the major attractions on Tuesday as most museums give you entry free of cost. The art museums were my first target and I started with Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. The San Francisco municipal transportation launched the Muni bus line and I enjoyed its services the first day of its launch.

It took me to all the museums right from fine art museums to modern arts, science museum, natural history museum, railway museum, fire department museum and much more. Every museum here boasts of having some of the finest collection and exhibits and the one who visits will undoubtedly agree to this fact.

The Fine art museums-De Young and Legion of Honor are enough to mesmerize you with its precious collection. Once known as City’s Museum, De Young houses some of the best American paintings, art form from Oceania, America and Africa. The Legion of Honor that overlooks the Pacific Ocean mainly consists of European art and paintings.

Modern art displays could be grazed in San Francisco Museum of Modern Art with modern and contemporary art are displayed. This was truly a predicament that there is so much to see and admire that even a whole day for a single museums proves to be insufficient.

Knowing this I hurried, but I knew even my four day trip will make me miss many wonderful attractions of San Francisco. The next day I covered rest of the museums –Museums of Craft and Folk Art, Asian Art Museum, Science Museum and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum. A cable car made of matchsticks stole my heart; marvelous was the creativity and imagination.

SF holds events and festivals throughout the year. Luckily my visit coincided with a musical concert and it made my trip to San Francisco the most memorable one. It was not in my trip plan but i did not want to miss, my heart felt thanks to the hotel authorities who arranged the ticket at an eleventh hour.

When I entered the venue, San Francisco opera ballet it was jam packed. I was overjoyed to see all the ballet dancers performing in unison with a passion in their art form and it had a deep impact on the audience who remained glued to their seat till the end. Coming back I realized, the more you explore SF, the more it reveals its secrets, one cannot stop marveling.
